Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino's Hugot-Filled Movie Is Finally Hitting Theaters This Month
The new teaser is already full of heart-wrenching lines.
(SPOT.ph) Rom-com fans are already having quite the year—with comedy hits like Crazy Rich Asians and To All the Boys I've Loved Before. But there's nothing like a Pinoy romance flick to spice things up. Enter Exes Baggage, the reunion movie of real-life exes Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino (who were in a six-year relationship before breaking up). The two have been teasing fans with flirty tweets, sweet behind-the-scenes photos, and official stills of the movie. And now, they're back with a quick teaser for the movie that's set to premiere on September 26.
The exact plot details of the movie, directed by Dan Villegas, still remain scarce. But in the teaser, Panganiban's and Aquino's characters are bonding over a meal in a convenience store while talking about their past relationships. Panganiban shares she has seven exes while Aquino says he only has one. "Napakahina mo naman. Isa lang talaga?" Panganiban's character teases. Then he reveals that he was actually left at the altar.
But of course, what's a Pinoy romance flick without a few hugot lines? Panganiban's character opens up, saying, "Hindi ko maintindihan 'yong mga taong takot nang magmahal pagkatapos masaktan." This prompts Aquino to ask her, "So ikaw, willing kang magmahal ulit kahit na doble 'yong sakit?" To which she answers, "Oo naman," she pauses, "Basta wag mo lang ako sasaktan."
If the teaser, the lead actors' chemistry, and the director's past films (like Changing Partners, Walang Forever, and The Breakup Playlist) are any indication, fans are in for a heart-wrenching movie.
Exes Baggage premieres on September 26.
