(SPOT.ph) At this point of the year, you've probably already enjoyed your fair share of kilig-worthy movies like Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wi-Fi, Never Not Love You, and Exes Baggage. There are even a couple more hitting theaters soon, like Ulan (starring Carlo Aquino and Nadine Lustre), To Love Some Buddy (starring Maja Salvador and Zanjoe Marudo), and Open (starring Arci Munoz and JC Santos). But you're probably still not over the relatable hugot-fest that was I'm Drunk, I Love You. The good news is, you can get your fill of Carson and Dio because there's an upcoming sequel in the works entitled I Love You, I Do.
The 2017 movie stars Maja Salvador as the soon-to-be college grad Carson, who wants to profess her love for her best friend Dio (Paulo Avelino) before they walk up the stage. She finally decides to tell him about her feelings during a road trip to La Union. But when they get there, Dio already has his eyes set on Pathy (Jasmine Curtis-Smith)—yes, with an "H."
Magandang araw, mga bata!— JP Habac (@jphabac) October 16, 2018
In a Twitter post today, October 16, I'm Drunk I Love You's writer-director JP Habac posted a photo of the script that he's working on with Kristin Barrameda. He captioned his post with, "Magandang araw, mga bata!" The caption also includes one hashtag with the beer emoji, a broken heart emoji, and an emoji for number two—presumably to symbolize I'm Drunk, I Love You 2. The other hashtag consists of a ring and a heart emoji which can be taken to mean I Love You, I Do.
While the film's plot is still under wraps, you can already tell by the title (and the ring emoji) that someone's probably going to get married. The only question is, who? Did Carson and Dio eventually figure things out? There's also no word yet on whether Salvador and Avelino will be reprising their roles. Fingers crossed we'll be hearing more about the film soon!
