(SPOT.ph) LizQuen fans were in for a big surprise when production house Black Sheep dropped the first teaser for Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s newest movie, Alone/Together, on January 20. Helmed by Antoinette Jadaone (Never Not Love You, Love You to the Stars and Back, That Thing Called Tadhana), the film marks the return of Soberano and Gil's love team to the big screen after two years.
In an interview, Jadaone described Christine (Soberano) as an “overachiever” who dreams of going abroad to become a museum director. Meanwhile, Raf (Gil) is a BS Biology student at University of Santo Tomas who appears to be the exact opposite, as he gets by with passing grades, only wanting to graduate from college.
The teaser starts light, from celebrating Christine's academic achievements—with Raf cheering her on every step of the way—to cute scenes of the two going on dates. “Babaguhin natin ang mundo,” says the optimistic Christine, hinting at her future with Raf. Towards the end of the teaser, the two once again meet in their old spot, the tension obvious between the once-lovestruck couple. One can only guess what happened between them.
Alone/Together will be out in cinemas on February 13.
