(SPOT.ph) It's hard to believe local indie band IV of Spades hadn't released a full studio album until this week, given all of their popular singles ("Mundo" and "Hey Barbara" included). Their debut album ClapClapClap! was finally released on January 18, and it's already become the number-one album on Apple Music Philippines.
ClapClapClap! was released on January 18 via Apple Music and Spotify. There are a total of 15 tracks, including songs that were previously released as singles, namely "In My Prison," "Bata, Dahan-Dahan!," and "Take That Man." Two days later, the band released the music video for the song "Bawat Kaluluwa," which is also included in their debut effort. Prior to the album release, the band posted a mysterious teaser with the caption “days” over a stretched-out hand.
IV of Spades is composed of Blaster Silonga, Zild Benitez, and Badjao De Castro. They are known for their songs "Hey Barbara" and the chart-topping “Mundo,” the latter being a staple in OPM chart playlists, including those on streaming service Spotify.
