(SPOT.ph) By now, you've probably already binge-watched your way through Netflix's Sex Education. We don't blame you—it's funny, it's heartwarming, and it's, well, educational. It just seems that eight episodes of Otis (Asa Butterfield), Maeve (Emma Mackey), Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), and the rest of Moordale High School, aren't enough. The good news is, you'll soon be getting eight more because Sex Education is officially returning for Season 2.
In case you haven't done your Netflix binge yet, Sex Education revolves around Otis, who picks up a few things from his sex-therapist mom Jean (Gillian Anderson). While he's sexually inexperienced himself, that doesn't stop him from giving out advice to other kids in the school through a "sex clinic" he runs with the badass Maeve, with a little help from his best friend Eric. Hopefully, the second season will see more of Otis's budding relationship (and sexuality).
Creator Laurie Nunn is set to return as an executive producer along with Jamie Campbell. Nunn says, “The reception to series one has been so exciting. Seeing how people across the world have connected to characters that began as ideas in my head is incredible. I’m hugely grateful to every person that has taken the
time to watch the series, and I can’t wait to continue this amazing journey.”
Produced by Eleven Films for Netflix, the second season of the show is set to start production in the United Kingdom in spring (which is usually around March to May).
