The Full Trailer of Mikhail Red's Eerie Is What Nightmares Are Made of
The horror stories you heard in school are true.
(SPOT.ph) Halloween may be months away, but that doesn't mean you can't get your fix of the terrifying and downright disturbing—especially when Mikhail Red's horror flick Eerie is set to open on March 27. The film, which stars Bea Alonzo and Charo Santos-Concio, has a new trailer that's sure to already make you lose sleep.
In the teaser, clairvoyant guidance counselor Pat (Alonzo) talks about how she's heard many stories about the Catholic all-girls school where she works. "Sa dami ng kwentong narinig ko, di ko na alam kung alin doon ang gawa-gawa—at alin doon ang paniniwalaan ko. Pero ito, ang sigurado akong totoo," she says as a young student is chased by a mysterious being before presumably being killed. As Pat takes on investigating the death of the student, she gets reprimanded by one of the nuns who run the school (Santos-Concio). Still, she takes it upon herself to talk to the spirit of Erika, a girl who committed suicide on school grounds.
The cast of the film also includes Jake Cuenca, Maxene Magalona, and Mary Joy Apostol, who reunites with Birdshot director Mikhail Red on the film. In addition to Eerie, Red's 2017 neo-noir film Neomanila also opens in theaters on March 13. Block Z, his zombie movie with Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, and Dead Kids, a youth-crime thriller starring Sua Ramirez and Khalil Ramos, are also in the works.
Eerie opens in cinemas on March 27.
