The Director of 2018's Scariest Horror Flick, Hereditary, Has a Creepy New Movie
Just the trailer is already unnerving.
(SPOT.ph) Don't be fooled by the bright summer light and the pretty flowers. The new trailer of Midsommar might feel like a pastel dream come to life, but it's sure to be anything but that. The new movie, after all, is directed by Ari Aster, the mind behind Hereditary a.k.a. the scariest movie of 2018. (Try to get that image of a burning man out of your head.) Set to be released in the U.S. on August 9, Midsommer is sure to make it to any movie buff's must-watch list.
Story details of Midsommar are still scarce, but it follows the story of a girlfriend (Florence Pugh) who hesitantly goes on vacation with her boyfriend (Will Poulter) to a Swedish village. When they arrive, they find that the locals have eccentric rituals that they'd rather not take part in.
Midsommar opens in U.S. theaters on August 9.
