Your Childhood Favorite Doraemon Is Coming Back to TV
'90s kids, rejoice!
(SPOT.ph) Long gone are the days when your daily schedule consisted of playing outside before heading back home just in time to catch the latest episode of your favorite show. There were lots of Tagalized shows that made your day—Slam Dunk, Ghost Fighter, Dragon Ball, and of course, Doraemon. And now, a new generation of kids are going to get to see the unforgettable blue robot-cat because Doraemon will be airing on ABS-CBN's TVPlus channel called Yey! in May.
The announcement was made by Tim Kondo, the general manager of Animation International Ltd., the distributor of Doraemon. A Filipino-dubbed version of the show originally started airing in the Philippines in 1999 on GMA.
Doraemon follows the story of the titular robotic cat, who has a 4D pocket that can store all of the gadgets that his best friend Nobita needs—from a bamboo-copter to a reverse-gravity belt. We can't wait!
