Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto Are Finally Reuniting for a New Movie
It's their first one since 2004's Milan!
(SPOT.ph) It's been 15 years since Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto starred in Olivia M. Lamasan's Milan. Needless to say, their fans have been clamoring for a reunion project between the two—and now, they're finally getting it. In the April 24 episode of Tonight With Boy Abunda, Barretto confirms that she's working on a new movie with Pascual.
When asked by Abunda if she wants to work on a movie with Judy Ann Santos, Barretto replies, "Yes, matagal na naming pinag-usapan yan ni Juday. It's just that siguro, wala talagang maganda pang project." While she's still hoping for that movie to happen, she does give fans some good news. "But I will be doing this end of June or July in Florence with Piolo. This will be directed by Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina."
Garcia-Molina, of course, is behind some of the biggest romance hits in Philippine cinema, like One More Chance, A Very Special Love, Four Sisters and a Wedding, She's Dating the Gangster, and more recently, The Hows of Us. She was also credited as an Associate Director on Milan, so this won't be the first time she's working with Pascual and Barretto on the big screen.
Pascual seems to have already hinted at the project in an interview with PEP.ph in March, where he says he's working on a "reunion film" with Star Cinema. He also reveals that he's taking up Film Producing at the New York Film Academy's satellite campus in Florence. Now we know that's where his new film is going to be filmed, too.
Fingers crossed we'll hear more updates about the new movie soon.
