Rainbow Rowell's Eleanor & Park Is Getting a Film Adaptation

(SPOT.ph) Rainbow Rowell may have already made us cry with her novel Eleanor & Park, but now that she has announced a film adaptation of the book  in her Instagram post, we're sure to be crying again. Except this time, It'll be in the cinemas.

According to an exclusive report on Deadline, the film rights have been acquired by Picturestart, the same production house behind La La Land, The Hunger Games series, The Twilight Saga, and more. Production company Plan B is set to produce. Rowell will serve as writer and executive producer of the film. 

Eleanor & Park follows two oddball teenagers as they navigate the pains and wonders of growing up (and falling in love) in '80s Nebraska. The novel has won many awards, including a Michael L. Printz Award Honor in 2014 and a Boston Globe-Horn Book Award for fiction in 2013. It has been published in 41 languages.
