This New Film Is a Letter to the People You've Loved and Lost

(SPOT.ph) From the pain of Exes Baggage and the all-too-familiar lines of Hello, Love, Goodbye, Filipino filmmakers have mastered the art of hugot. Several problems and issues strike the characters and it's not too long before you find yourself weeping over a bucket of popcorn (no judgment, promise). Finding love amidst all the deadlines and deliverables is one of those struggles and local film My Letters to Happy knows about it all too well. Cinema '76 is screening the film from July 17 to 23 at their Anonas branch.

Directed by Pertee Brinas, it follows a high-ranking workaholic played by TJ Trinidad who doesn't believe in love due to its complexities and drama. Enter Happy, played by Glaiza De Castro, a simple and optimistic girl who convinces him otherwise. As they go through the motions of love, arguments occur and insecurities emerge, testing their relationship.

This is volleyball player Alyssa Valdez's acting debut and she plays a newbie in the office scene aspiring to be like her boss. We spotted Juan Miguel Severo in the trailer, too.
