It's a pretty well-known fun fact that the original Ju-On films were based on an urban legend and Netflix's adaptation stays true to the original tales. The series follows a family living in a haunted house looming with dark spirits as they deal with the repurcussions of curses left behind in their home. Though many Western, English-language adaptations have been made based on horror films originating in Asia, loyalists of the Asian horror genre will be happy to know that Ju-On: Origins is a Japanese-language series just like the OG franchise. It stars actors Yoshiyoshi Arakawa and Yuina Kuroshima among others.
Ju-On: Origins is set to premiere on Netflix on July 3.
