If Your Family Is Driving You Nuts, This Movie Will Remind You Why You Love Them

The award-winning Paki is streaming for free.

(SPOT.ph) Sometimes, your family can be hard to love—especially a Pinoy one. If you need an activity for quality time together, why  not gather them up and watch a movie? Acclaimed drama-comedy Paki is streaming free on iWant from June 19 to July 20.

The 2017 Cinemalaya entry is a poignant look at the modern Pinoy family, including all the nuances and, well, stressors that come with being a part of one. Sixty-nine-year-old Alejandra (Dexter Doria) has finally decided to do the unthinkable: leave her womanizing husband, Uro (Noel Trinidad) after 50 years and several children. Unfortunately, her now-grown daughters—especially the vocal Ella (Eula Valdez)—are against their aged mother's abrupt decision. The film is a sharp and funny look into what makes it difficult for a family to care for each other; and if that sounds a little too familiar, that's all the more reason for you to watch.
