Heads Up, Cinephiles: A Drive-In Cinema Is Opening Soon
Get ready for some prime retro feels.
(SPOT.ph) It's been so long since we last saw a film outside of our homes—not that we're complaining really, thanks to the many streaming platforms available. Still, we have to say actually going to the theaters to watch a movie can't be beat. While we wait for the good old movie theaters to open up again, here's one good alternative for those residing up north: SM Pampanga is opening a drive-in cinema on Friday, July 31! It will be located at the SM Pampanga Amphitheater—right behind the actual mall—at the border of Mexico and San Fernando City.
SM Cinema made the announcement on their Facebook page on July 23. The official schedule for screenings is from Friday to Sunday, at 5:30 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. starting July 31. Tickets are at P400 each—complete with popcorn, beef franks, and water—with the cinema suggesting two people in a car for the "best view." A maximum limit of four per vehicle will be imposed. There's no word yet from SM Cinema on the selection of movies, how to reserve slots, and when tickets will be released, so keep your eyes peeled on SM Cinema's Facebook page.
