There’s a new crew taking over Money Heist, and they’re pulling off the biggest heist yet in Korea’s Joint Economic Area. Netflix Drops New Trailer and Release Date of Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 1
Through shots of blueprints, guns, and counterfeit money, the new trailer shows the Korean crew prepping for a heist on a “massive scale.” The teaser ends with a shot of the entire crew fitted with the red jumpsuits made iconic by the original series and equipped with the new Hahoe Mask, which was chosen by the Professor at the end of the previous trailer.
The new trailer also announces that Netflix will drop the first part of the series on June 24. The first part of the series will consist of six episodes. A new poster featuring the bloodstained, empty smile of the Hahoe Mask also debuted alongside the trailer. You already know what’s going to be the costume at this year’s mask-themed Halloween parties.
An adaptation of Netflix’ Spanish series La casa de papel, the new series will be set in Korea’s Joint Economic Area, where the Korean peninsula approaches the brink of reunification. We’ll also be getting the classic team back, with different faces under the masks: Professor (Yoo Ji-tae); Berlin (Park Hae-soo); Tokyo (Jun Jong-seo); Nairobi (Jang Yoon-ju); Moscow (Lee Won-jong); Denver (Kim Ji-hun); Rio (Lee Hyun-woo); Helsinki (Kim Ji-hoon); and Oslo (Lee Kyu-ho).
Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 1 drops on Netflix on June 24.
