Pia Wurtzbach's Gorgeous Wedding Gown Was a Husband-and-Wife Dream Design

(SPOT.ph) Let's face it. It's socially expected that men don't have much say on their wedding day—especially if we're talking about the bride's wedding gown. Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach continues to take steps forward: it turns out the stunning gown she wore to her recent nuptials was thanks in major part to now husband Jeremy Jauncey. Designer Bessie Besana took to Instagram to share how the gown took big cues from Jauncey's own vision for his bride.

Jeremy Jauncey played a big part in designing Pia Wurtzbach's wedding gown:

"What is interesting about the conceptualization on Pia’s dress is that she asked Jeremy about how he envisions his bride as she 'walks down the aisle.' He shared that he sees Pia in a classic corseted bodice with a soft texture and a slit," shared the designer in an Instagram post on May 7. They posted the story alongside pictures of the couple during their wedding on March 24 at a resort in Seychelles.

As Bessie Besana points out, brides usually have their own idea of what they'll be wearing as they walk down the aisle (typically from childhood, we'd say). Wurtzbach made sure to take into account Jauncey's own vision too. And we have to say, the designer definitely delivered when it came to combining the now husband-and-wife's dreams and even their story. Wurtzbach walked down her sandy aisle in a stunning corseted dress complete with a slit, all wrapped up in soft Chantilly lace.

"Asking the groom for his vision is a very unconventional way of creating a wedding gown for me, but it was a very interesting way and I was excited to make it come to life," said Besana in the post. 

The designer shared in a different post that Wurtzbach had asked her to create the gown during a casual brunch in New York City in November 2022.
