(SPOT.ph) Despite Marian Rivera's earlier statements that she would continue working on her upcoming teleserye, The Rich Man's Daughter, news broke on Friday that she was withdrawing from the project. Although names like Lovi Poe and Carla Abellana have been tossed around, it didn't take long for GMA Network to find a new actress for the show.

Rhian Ramos is slated to replace Marian in the role of Jade Tanchingco, a wealthy woman who falls for a character to be played by Glaiza de Castro.
Marian reportedly withdrew from the series because of her "delicate condition," despite already filming scenes with her female co-star. The network, on the other hand, "fully supports" Marian's decision and assured fans that the actress would still be seen in various shows.
The new teleserye is directed by Dominic Zapata, who also directed GMA Network's other LGBT drama, My Husband's Lover.
