Taylor Swift apologizes to Nicki Minaj: "I missed the point"

(SPOT.ph) Well, that was a riveting two days. Taylor Swift has apologized for earlier accusing Nicki Minaj of pitting "women against women" after the latter tweeted her disappointment that her video for "Anaconda" wasn't nominated for Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs.


Taylor took to Twitter late Thursday night, saying:

Nicki earlier pointed out in an Instagram post that her tweets on diversity and fairness were never meant to slam another artist. She partly wrote, "[This has] everything to do with a system that doesn't credit black women for their contributions to pop culture as freely/quickly as they reward others. We are huge trendsetters, not second class citizens that get thrown crumbs. This isn't anger. This is information."
