Uh-oh, Maria Ozawa says Robin Padilla is "unprofessional"
Find out why
(SPOT.ph) It looks like this MMFF entry is in trouble.
Robin Padilla has withdrawn as lead in the upcoming horror flick, Nilalang. In a statement posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday night (August 11), he decided to leave the film to attend to his wife, Mariel, "as she is experiencing a delicate pregnancy." Mariel is reportedly pregnant with triplets. (The Isntagram post has since been deleted.)
Despite asking producers and the public for "their kind understanding and consideration," his leading lady wasn't too happy. Former adult film star Maria Ozawa took to her Instagram account (above) to express her disappointment, saying, "It's not that I really wanted to film with Robin, but I think it was so unprofessional of him to call it off 10 days before shooting starts. I feel so sorry for the film's director, staff, etc."
She also replied to a commenter who defended Robin, saying, "If he knew about the pregnancy, he should've said no in the first place." Robin first announced his wife's pregnancy August 1.
Nilalang is one of eight films competing in this year's MMFF. If it withdraws from the roster, there are two reserve entries that could take its place, namely: John Lloyd Cruz's Conman and Lovi Poe's Lakambini.
