(SPOT.ph) We swoon when we hear about reel-to-real life love stories, especially when we're huge fans of their love team tandem. James Reid, however, is having none of it.
In an Instagram post on September 29, the actor posted a photo with a cryptic caption directed at fans who want a real romance between him and his On the Wings of Love co-star, Nadine Lustre. He also advised fans to stop "talking on Nadine's behalf."
Some of his followers showed their support, while other JaDine fans seemed upset. Earlier, James was spotted clubbing with Ningning star, Debs Garcia. (She clarified that they were only friends.)
In July, James made headlines over a rumored romance with Julia Barretto, which they've both denied. In an interview, Nadine said she had no room to be upset with James, saying, "We're not together naman po, magka-love team lang naman kami."
She added, "Kasi, dito sa Philippines, ang mentality nila—especially the teens—kasi love team, they expect us to be sweet to each other. Na kami at walang iba. It does affect [us negatively] naman po, pero bahala na."
It's worth noting that Pinoys are no strangers to tandems skipping the real-life romance. John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo never dated, and they remain one of the most popular love teams today.
