(SPOT.ph) It's easy to see why a lot of people love Eat Bulaga's Maine Mendoza, thanks to her wide smile, funny faces, and comedic timing. There's just something so relatable and down-to-earth about this showbiz newcomer, despite her long string of endorsements and TV appearances.
On Sunday (October 11), Maine took to her Instagram account (above) to talk about self-confidence, something we can all probably relate to. She wrote:
"I used to be a girl with a poor self-esteem—I actually think I still am. I never believed in my capability of doing things; it could be just me being a pessimist about almost everything but the thing is, I never really believed in myself. Every time I am about to do something, the first thing that comes to my mind is 'Hindi ko kaya 'yan.'"
She said that at this point in her career, she has done "so many things [she] never thought [she] can do." She thanked Eat Bulaga for taking her out of her comfort zone and continued:
"I have waited so long for the moment where I'd be able to say 'I am proud of myself.' Kung wala pa man akong napapatunayan sa inyo, sa'kin marami-rami na at 'yon lang, sapat na. Sapat na din para masabi kong proud ako sa sarili ko."
Although her post is largely for herself, it's an awesome and positive reminder for the rest of us on days when we're feeling unsure of ourselves. You go, Yaya Dub!
