Pastillas Girl's mother may have been killed by her exes
Reports say she received multiple death threats
(SPOT.ph) According to a report from ABS-CBN, a CCTV camera caught the murder of Angelica Yap's mother in Caloocan City on Monday, November 30. Angelica, who is more popularly known as It's Showtime's Pastillas Girl, was in the middle of a shoot in Bulacan when she was told her mother was shot in the head at close range while dining at a roadside eatery.
Maria Theresa Hernandez Yap, a barangay councilor, reportedly received text messages from an anonymous sender who warned that she would be killed before Christmas. In a report by GMA News, police are currently considering three possible angles for her death, namely: Their small business, a previous relationship, or her job as a councilor (Yap reportedly took a hard stance against illegal drugs in their barangay).
Meanwhile, relatives told police that her former partners, including one Alfamil Yap, may be behind the killing. In another report by Inquirer.net, Alfamil Yap's current partner, a certain Andrea, allegedly sent the victim threatening messages after learning of her dating history. Another ex-boyfriend also sent her threats via text message.
So far, no witness has come forward to testify in the case, but the family has sought help from the NBI.
