Tito Sotto promises AlDub appearance in exchange for votes

We quote: "Ito suhol talaga."

(SPOT.ph) It was back in September 2015 when senatorial candidate Tito Sotto promised to "set an example" (his words, not ours) and leave the viral love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza out of the upcoming election campaigns. We quote, "We do not want our Dabarkads to be politicized."

Now, it looks like the senator and Eat Bulaga mainstay is singing a different tune. In a recent political rally in San Carlos, Pangasinan, he promised to bring the noontime show to the province if the entire slate of Partido Galing at Puso (under Sen. Grace Poe and Sen. Chiz Escudero) wins in May 2016. "Ito pwede niyong sabihin na suhol. Pero ito suhol talaga," he said. (Again, his words, not ours). "Dito kami mag-so-show. Isasama ko 'yong dalawa. Sinong dalawa? Si Vic [Sotto], si Joey [de Leon], at saka si Alden saka si Yaya Dub."

In an earlier interview with PEP.ph, Alden said that he wasn't interested in endorsing candidates, saying, "Iba po 'tong showbiz sa politics. I don’t wanna mix it po." He admitted, however, that there have been previous offers of endorsements, which he has declined.
