Erich Gonzales Says No to Coffee With the Billboard Guy
She found his messages "uncomfortable."
(SPOT.ph) Looks like the young (and now meme-fied) CEO will have to find another way to go viral—or someone else to have a coffee date with. According to a report from ABS-CBN News, Erich Gonzales has officially declined Xian Gaza's offer.
In an interview on Sunday, Erich said that she was flattered by the effort, saying, "Ako naman kasi personally, lahat naman ng supporters ko naa-appreciate ko lahat ng ginagawa nila, malaking bagay o maliit man 'yan."
True enough, many found the grand gesture sweet at first...until people realized it really wasn't. Soon, more and more reports online revealed Gaza's history—from being involved with young actress Ella Cruz to alleged shady business dealings and creepy behavior.
This Xian Gaza-Erich thing reminded me of a theory from HIMYM. It's all about attraction, man.????— Nirvana Time Estiva (@nirvanatime) July 4, 2017

It seemed Erich felt the same way, especially when "things unfolded" and she saw his "long messages" to her on social media. "Parang naging uncomfortable ako. After talking to my family and my closest friends, I decided not to meet him na lang."
A previous report from PEP.ph said that Erich had sent a text message to showbiz reporter Darla Sauler saying she was initially "fine" with "[talking] over coffee" as long as Darla was with her.
Erich split up with Daniel Matsunaga in February 2017 and has been single since. She is slated to star in a film with Jericho Rosales entitled Siargao (above), directed by indie filmmaker and producer Paul Soriano.
