Andi Eigenmann Admits Leaving Showbiz: "I Was Not Happy"
She revealed the news in a heated exchange with a commenter.
(SPOT.ph) A heated exchange with an Instagram commenter yesterday, October 2, has led Andi Eigenmann to reveal that she has left showbiz.
In a comment posted in the photo below, the Instagram user criticized Andi for supposedly being rude towards the former's sister, who wanted a photo with the actress. Another commenter chimed in, saying, "Be grateful na lang [that] people still adore you kahit hindi ka na sikat."
Andi fired back at the two, partly saying, "If I wanted the life I had in the past, I wouldn't have left showbiz. So go figure. But me wanting to be a full-time mom and to live my life sooo far away from the spotlight (away from the city, even), doesn't also result [sic] to your accusations being anywhere true."
She continued, "FYI, fame is not the solution. And it pains me to [see] that there are people like you who think that this is something I should even be sad about. I left because I was not happy. And yes! It will never be the same. But I wouldn't trade this simple life for anything else because I have never been happier."
Andi's last major project was for the family-themed ABS-CBN drama series, The Greatest Love, which aired from September 2016 to April 2017, as well as the 2016 film, Camp Sawi.
She also made headlines in October 2016 when Jake Ejercito was revealed to be the father of her five-year-old daughter, Ellie. Since their public feuds, the two have since settled their custody battle.
