(SPOT.ph) Last week, October 2, Andi Eigenmann made headlines after mentioning she "left showbiz" during a heated argument with an Instagram commenter. Now, the actress has clarified her statement in a lengthy interview with CNN Philippines, saying that she will continue acting in movies.

She continued, "It's just that I feel that I grew out of that whole showbiz stigma, I don't want to force myself to be perceived as a person [who] I'm really not. I just want to be known for what I do as an actor and not be defined by who they think I am based on the news."

She also talked about her frustrations with the industry, like how she wasn't "allowed to step out of the house without makeup" and how it didn't "really abide by [her] values as a human being." As for the kind of movie roles she'd like to do, she mentioned interest in action and coming-of-age films.
Andi's last major project was for the family-themed ABS-CBN drama series, The Greatest Love, which aired from September 2016 to April 2017, as well as the 2016 film, Camp Sawi.
