Although details on the project have yet to be announced, fans are already excited about De Guzman's new role—especially considering the studio has also produced hits like Heneral Luna, Birdshot, Bliss, and the upcoming Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.

It's been a rough couple of years for De Guzman, who left the spotlight to go into rehab for substance abuse. (In October, he proudly announced that he has been sober for two years.) Prior to entering rehab, he was last seen in the ABS-CBN series, All Of Me; he was allegedly pulled from the project due to his behavior on set.

De Guzman is best known for his versatile acting chops, which he displayed in award-winning indie films like Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank, Imbisibol, and most popularly, That Thing Called Tadhana. In October, fans reignited calls for a Tadhana sequel, after a short "sequel" video by the film's editor made the rounds online.
