Andi Eigenmann Is Building a Sustainable House in Baler

She's been busy since she quit showbiz!

(SPOT.ph) It seems that the non-showbiz life is leaving a good mark on actress and mom-of-one, Andi Eigenmann. It's been a few months since she revealed in an Instagram comment that she's left showbiz. Her comment was in response to an Instagram user who said she should be thankful that people still ask for her photos even if she's no longer famous.

"If I wanted the life I had in the past, I wouldn't have left showbiz. So go figure," she starts. "But me wanting to be a full-time mom and to live my life sooo far away from the spotlight (away from the city, even) doesn't also result [sic] to your accusations being anywhere true" she says, referring to someone's accusation that she was rude when they asked for a picture with her. She ended her burn-worthy remark by saying, "I wouldn't trade this simple life for anything else because I have never been happier."

And it looks like everything's been working out for the actress. She recently revealed in an interview with TV Patrol that she's now planning on moving to Baler or Siargao with her boyfriend Emilio Arambulo and Ellie, her daughter with Jake Ejercito. "We go to Siargao all the time or Baler, where we are building our home with our own hands using sustainable materials," she reveals. "That’s my plan for the summer. We’ll use reused wood, or sustainable cement, using solar panels.”

She opens up about how her new life has introduced her to new advocacies. "It’s when I started living with less that I started realizing how happy life could be. Tapos tumutulong na rin sa pag-raise ng awareness on how to save our oceans and keep our environment clean.”

While she's busy living her life away from the spotlight, she still stands firm on her decision that she quit showbiz, not acting. She says that she's still open to accepting roles in the future, as long as they're worth it. "If there’s an opportunity and if I get hired for something that I really want to do, madali naman ayusin 'yon, eh. But like what I said, I’ll take it day by day.”
