LOOK: Paolo Ballesteros' Colorful Paintings Sell Out Before They're Even Finished

Faces aren't the only thing he paints!

(SPOT.ph) While it's no secret that he's talented in painting faces—those makeup transformations are always on-point!—actor Paolo Ballesteros is showing us he's also skilled in painting on an actual canvas. The actor has been posting photos of his artworks on Instagram lately and even shared a video showing the details of his work. He's no stranger to painting, either, since he's the great-grandson of Fernando Amorsolo a.k.a. the first National Artist for Visual Arts.

One of the captions of his photos (which all have the hashtag #PAOnting) indicates that he uses alcohol ink for his paintings. In an interview with Pep.ph, Paolo reveals that some of his works have already been bought by none other than his co-stars on Eat Bulaga. Some even reserve works before they're finished. "Sina Jed Madela at JP Duray were among the first who bought my paintings," he shares.

Paolo is still shy about discussing how much his paintings cost. But he says he's encouraged by all the positive feedback he's been getting. "Kapag nag-post ako sa social media, ang daming nag-i-inquire. It makes me want to do more."

It only takes him a day to create a piece because he gets restless when he has nothing to do at home. This is despite having to shoot for his movies and TV shows, by the way. But he explains that it takes a little longer to complete the finishing touches. "'Yong pag-aayos ng canvas at pag-aayos ng pagkakabitan ng sabitan, mga one week dahil ako rin ang gumagawa," he says.

The actor is set to share the big screen on May 9 with Solenn Heussaff—who's a painter herself—in My 2 Mommies, a Mother's Day movie from Regal Entertainment. Maybe soon we'll see them share an exhibit together with celebrity-artists, too.
