(SPOT.ph) Everyone started shipping Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban again when it was announced that the real-life exes were working on a new film about exes together. (In case you didn't know, they dated for six years before breaking up because they felt they weren't mature enough yet.) Moviegoers swooned over their undeniable chemistry when Exes Baggage finally hit theaters. But even after the movie came out, CarGel continued making headlines because of how sweet they were together—they even spent Halloween together all dressed up in Japan—despite them maintaining that they were just friends.
But it looks like we might have seen the last of the love team because Panganiban says she'll be staying away from Aquino from now on. She even unfollowed him on Instagram. It all started when Panganiban first posted a photo of her hair and makeup on Instagram yesterday, January 9, and captioned it, "Love your own na lang talaga [ako]."
This prompted a user to post a comment about Panganiban and Aquino's relationship, saying, “Palagi kang ganyan. Aware ka ba sa impact na nagagawa niyan kay Carlo? Palagi siya ang dehado kakaganyan mo. Sarili mo ngang fans bina-bash at hinuhusgahan siya [nang] walang ebidensya." The user continues, “Grow up, Angge. Pag-usapan niyo 'yan ni Carlo. Wag mong idaan sa social media lahat. Minsan nakakaduda rin if gaano ka ka-genuine mag-care for Carlo. Kung ano ang kinadaldal mo, kinatahimik niya. [Diyos ko,] para kayong 13, 14 ulit. Hoy, 33, 34 na kayo. Act your age.”
Panganiban took a screenshot of the comment and made a separate post about it. "Wow. Sa lahat ng na-offend ko. Sorry. Hindi ko alam na may issue pala kayo sa'kin. From now on, hindi na ko magsasalita. Huling caption ko na po ito. Kasi nakakahiya sa inyong mga nasaktan ko." Panganiban responds to the comment tellng them to be more mature, saying, "Tama ka. Madaldal ako. So tatahimik na [ako]. I will act my age po. Sorry po. Hindi na kayo makakarinig ng kahit na ano sa'kin regarding Carlo."
She also says that she'll be staying away from Aquino. "Lalayuan ko na [rin] para hindi na lang ako mahusgahan at hindi na po siya mahirapan sa sinasabi niyong “impact” na ginagawa ko para madehado po siya. Happy po? Thank you. Sana po maintindihan niyo at mapatawad niyo ko. Pagod na [rin] ako sa ka-negahan at [pakikialam] ninyo. Nasaktan na [rin] ako. So tama na."
Panganiban then changed the caption of her hair and makeup post and tagged the user, saying "Don’t love yourself. Never. Okay na po?” but she has since removed the captions and disabled the comments on the post.
Though Panganiban has unfollowed Aquino on Instagram, Aquino still follows Panganiban as of writing. CarGel fans will just have to wait and see if they'll patch things up soon—they are, after all, still working together in ABS-CBN's afternoon show, Playhouse.
