Despite apology, Alec Baldwin banned from RP
"An undesirable alien" is what Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan said Baldwin is deemed. "By being in the bureau's blacklist, Baldwin is forbidden from entering the country," Libanan said, according to gmanews.tv. This despite Baldwin issuing a public apology yesterday. Hong Kong-based columnist Chip Tsao was also banned from entering the Philippines, after he called the Philippines a "nation of servants," in a satirical essay. He said we shouldn't lord over the Spratly islands that is still being claimed by China. When Tsao apologized, the Immigration chief lifted the ban. Our question is, with this latest development, will 30 Rock stop cracking their very funny jokes about the Philippines? Or will they joke about it even more, because we may not get the joke anyway?
