If young actress Yasmien Kurdi read Spot's story on manyak molesters, "Just Another Manyak Monday"
yesterday, she could have added Number 11 to the types of manyakis mentioned in the story: Baron Geisler.
Kurdi filed charges yesterday against Suspetsa co-star Baron Geisler for "acts of lasciviousness and unjust vexation," according to Pep. Accompanied by her lawyer Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, the actress went to the Philippine National Police Women's and Children's Protection Center in Camp Crame, at 4:30 p.m.
On May 21, on the set of the telenovela, co-star Jennylyn Mercado and Kurdi's assistant claim to have witnessed Baron approaching Kurdi out of the blue and suddenly, according to Pep's informant, "Minanyak si Yasmien. Sinilipan, hinihipuan, tapos nag-bate sa harap niya. (He behaved like a pervert towards Yasmien. He looked up her dress, stroked her, then masturbated in front of her.)" Kurdi's assistant reportedly took a video of the incident using her phone.
As of press time, Yasmien has not withdrawn her complaint despite pleas and apologies by Geisler who claims he can't remember doing any such things to her. This is Geisler's second time to be charged with the same offense–the first one was filed over a year ago by Patrizha Martinez, the 21-year-old daughter of actors William and Yayo Aguila Martinez, who alleged that Geisler touched her breast one night in Fiamma, a bar in Makati.
