Harry Potter's Snape scares The Pope
On the right side, Snape casts a dark spell while The Pope covers one eye, the other seemingly bulging out of its socket. No, Pope Benedict XVI did not earn Snape's ire, it's just a photo of the pope watching Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince.
In related news, Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano declared Half-blood Prince as "the best in the series," NYmag.com reports, in contrast to The Pope's criticism in 2003 of J.K. Rowling's books as "subtle seductions that deeply distort Christianity in the soul, before it can grow properly."
"The line between those who work for the good and those who do evil seems quite clear, and the spectator and reader have no trouble identifying with the former," L'Osservatore Romano says. Meaning, the Vatican has given its blessing.
Hmmmm, SPOT.ph wants to know: Is that good or bad for the movie's success?
