After being beaten with a whip used by Deputy Security Adviser Chavit Singson for his pet tigers in what she describes as torture lasting "40 minutes" that caused her "sobrang trauma," Rachel "Che" Tiongson says she wants just two things from Singson: "Freedom and closure..Kahit wala nang suporta," reports  PEP.ph in a "First Read on Pep," three-part, seven-page tell-all.
Said Tiongson about her August 22 beating, "Akala ko, yung sa pelikula lang yun nangyayari. Hindi ko talaga ma-imagine. Marami... Di ba yung mukha ko, may bugbog diyan [pointing to her forehead and eye area], pati yung ulo ko, may tama rin. Kasi kapag gumaganun ako, may tama dito. Eto, lahat ito [her hands and forearms], namaga. Kaya nga nung after nun, siyempre nung nandun ka pa, takot ka pa, right? Pero nung after nun, parang nagdidilim na paningin ko, kasi dun ko na naano yung pain."
Medico-legal findings of Dr. Teresita R. Sanchez of the Cardinal Santos Hospital in San Juan, indicates she sustained the following injuries: "soft tissue contusion with abrasion and swelling of the forehead; multiple soft tissue contusion of head; busted lips, left; abrasion on nasal area; multiple hematoma and soft tissue contusion on both hands and forearms; multiple soft tissue hematoma, contusions, abrasions secondary to mauling (domestic violence)."
Tiongson also told PEP that her boyfriend Richard S. Catral, a 38-year-old former marketing man for the ABS-CBN Foundation, was blindfolded, tied, beaten, and tortured for two hours. She says Singson even took photos of a naked Catral which Singson has been showing around to his friends. " On TV interviews about the matter, Singson has said,  "Mabait pa nga ako, hindi ko sila pinatay."
Looking back on her 17-year relationship with Singson which started when she was an 18-year-old student at the College of the Holy Spirit, Tiongson admited often feeling caged because of his "super seloso" ways.  "Ang kilos ko, parang ingat na ingat ako, kasi minsan... kasi kunwari, parang pansinin ko lang yung guy, iba na kaagad intindi niya. Kahit na kilala ko talaga yung guy, ha... Kunwari si Boyet. 'Hi, Yet.' Ganun talaga ako kasi malambing talaga ako, e. Pero nakita ko sa kanya yung binabantayan lahat ng kilos ko pag ganun. Kasi pag nasa bahay na kami, sasabihin sa kin, 'Ikaw, ang landi-landi mo talaga.' Flirting daw yun."
