Antonio's and Aubergine make it to the Miele Guide Top 20 Restaurants in Asia

Restaurants Antonio's and Aubergine made it to the Top 20 list of Best Restaurants in Asia, according to this year's Miele Guide. Antonio's is at number 17 while Aubergine holds the number 18 spot, sharing the prestigious list with L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Hong Kong (number 1), Iggy's in Singapore (number 2 ) and Robuchon a Galera in Macau.

Chef Tonyboy Escalante's Antonio's, located in Tagaytay, was also recognized last year by the Miele Guide, garnering spot number 10 in last year's list. "Chef Escalante's commitment to fine cuisine remains strong and Antonio's menu is still as spoon-worthy as its ambience is swoon-worthy," reads the Miele Guide winner list.

Aubergine, the new kid on the block, is the teaching restaurant of International School for Culinary and Hotel Management (ISCAHM). According to the Miele Guide judges, "it is clear that they are challenging their apprentices to push the historically accepted parameters of the cuisine by playing with flavours and ingredients while teaching them to revere the refinement of French culinary technique."

Worldwide voting determined the Top 20 restaurants with more than 98,000 votes for the the best restaurants in 18 countries across Asia. An independent and authoritative guide to the region's finest restaurants, the Miele Guide is written by food experts who know Asia.
