VIDEOS: Jason Ivler was a "TGIS" alum and rap artist

Jason Ivler, prime suspect in the murder of Renato Ebarle Jr. , was once a teen actor and rap artist, reports GMA News.

Ivler was part of the second batch of teens cast in the 1997 GMA-7 youth-oriented show, "Thank God It's Sabado (TGIS)," where he played a Fil-Am boy named (quite aptly) Bullet alongside his fellow co-stars Dingdong Dantes, Antoinette Taus, and Anne Curtis.

Polo Ravales, another TGIS alumnus, was shocked to recognize his co-star while watching the shootout video on the news. Ravales noted that he and Ivler had been in the same acting workshops when they were still starting out. One of the show's former production assistants added that the young Ivler was a very reserved and quiet person.

GMA's "24 Oras" also revealed that Ivler recorded a rap album in 2006 titled "JsIn In The Philippines." It was reported that Ivler never released the album because of his decision to enroll in the US military.

Most of the tracks in the said album contain explicit lyrics and foul language. The song "J,J,J," which Ivler posted on-line, feature former "Kulay" vocalist Radha.
