Steven Seagal wants to shoot a movie with Manny Pacquiao
Hollywood action star Steven Seagal might shoot a movie with boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, reports 24 Oras.
"I'm hoping we can do something in the Philippines based on some kind of heroic true story," Seagal said when he had dinner with Pacquiao at the boxer's Los Angeles condo unit. "I think he's the best boxer in the world right now. I'm just a huge fan. I love him as a human being, as a man. He's an honorable man, a man of God," Seagal said about Pacquiao.
The movie will be based on Pacquiao's life story but Seagal's role is "not yet clear," according to PhilStar.com.
Pacquiao, whom Seagal called "brother," said, "I felt so happy and so lucky because he visited me here in my house and he's my idol. I always watch his movies."
It is Pacquiao's first "concrete" collaboration with an international star for a movie, although action star Sylvester Stallone and World Wrestling Entertainment's Dave Batista have said they want to work with Pacquiao in a movie as well, reports PhilStar.com.
Seagal said he would watch Pacquiao's fight versus welterweight Joshua Clottey on March 13. He also predicted that Pacquiao would win if he ever faced Floyd Mayweather Jr.
During Seagal's two-hour visit to Pacquiao's Palazzo condominium unit in Beverly Hills, the two icons exchanged gifts. Pacquiao gave Seagal two boxing gloves encased in glass, while Seagal gave Pacquiao a poster.
No word yet if Seagal has seen Pacquiao's films.
