Voters tell Loren Legarda to fall in line; Legarda says sorry but still jumps queue
Supporters cheered Nacionalista Party vice presidential bet Loren Legarda when she arrived at her assigned precinct in Potrero, Malabon on May 10 but other voters "got irritated" when she went ahead of the line, reports ABS-CBNNews.com.
"Ma'am, pila po kayo," some voters reportedly said. To this, Legarda said, "Ay pila ba 'to? Ay sorry ha. Gusto n'yo akong pumila, balik ako sa pila? Sobrang bagal ba?" Despite this, Legarda voted ahead of those in line.
According to ABS-CBNNews.com, Legarda later called ABS-CBN reporter Marie Lozano, who filed the report, and said she was merely ushered by the crowd, which included the media, into her precinct.
Lozano later Tweeted that there were also reports that her fellow VP bets Sen. Manuel "Mar" Roxas II and Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay also jumped the queue at their assigned precincts.
