Charice Pempengco tops Billboard dance chart, celebrates birthday on Oprah
It must have been a great 18th birthday for Filipina international pop singer Charice Pempengco: Her single "Pyramid" topped the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart this week, beating Rihanna's "Rude Boy," reports Inquirer.net. On the chart for 11 weeks so far, the song was no. 2 a few days ago and no. 4 last week.

Her first international self-titled album containing 14 tracks hit record stores in the United States and the Philippines on May 10, also Pempengco's birthday, reports Inquirer.net. She launched the album on her fairy godmother Oprah's show on the same day.
