Book on GMA's achievements: Presidential spokesperson Saludo can't name publisher
ABS-CBNNews.com reports that presidential spokesperson Ricardo Saludo, one of the authors of Beating the Odds (a book documenting President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's achievements), revealed in an interview with dzMM that the book's publisher (a private entity) doesn't want to be named.
In his dzMM interview, Saludo said: "Gusto na hong hindi magpakilala. May nakalagay doong pangalan [sa libro], pero the actual entity behind it would like to remain private ho (The publisher does not want to be named. A name will be there to indicate, but the actual entity behind it would like to remain private)."
When asked why the publisher wanted a no-name policy, Saludo could not provide an explanation. He said, "Hindi ko masasabi. Iyon ang sabi sa amin na wag na raw pangalanan (I could not say. That's the publisher's request, not to be named)."
In any case, the government will publish another book called Beat the Odds through the Philippine Information Agency (PIA). The said book will book "enumerate the accomplishments of various government agencies."
