Shalani Soledad denies rumors of breakup with President Noynoy Aquino
Valenzuela councilor Shalani Soledad refuses to pay attention to speculations about the implications of where she was seated during boyfriend President-elect Noynoy Aquino's proclamation on June 9, reports 24 Oras. Soledad sat way back in the gallery beside Aquino supporter, singer Ogie Alcasid, a good number of rows after Aquino's sisters Kris, Ballsy, Pinky and Viel. Soldedad has kept mum to the media since then.
She admitted to 24 Oras that more and more people now recognize her outside of Valenzuela, but was quick to attribute the recognition to her association with President-elect Aquino. "Most people react to me now when they see me, but they see me as an extension of Noy...May treatment of respect because they see Noy," she said.
Soledad refuted rumors that they had broken up but refused to talk about it. 24 Oras reported that friends and family say they two had just seen each other a few days ago. Soledad told 24 Oras that even if some rumors are hurtful, what's important is that she and her family know the real score.
As to whether Soledad will attend her boyfriend's inauguration on June 30 or not, all that was revealed was that many designers have been offering to make Soldedad's gown for the occasion.
