Lovi Poe wins Best Actress in Cinemalaya 2010, Baron Geisler, Meryll Soriano also win

Lovi Poe, actress and daughter of the late veteran actor and Presidential candidate Fernando Poe Jr., won the Best Performance of an Actress award for the "New Breed" Full Length film Mayohan by Dan Villegas and Paul Sta. Ana at the 6th Cinemalaya Film Festival Awards Night held on July 18 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo, reports Bomboradyo.com.

According to the report, Mayohan also won three other awards namely, Best Cinematography for Dan Villegas (shared with Rommel Andreo Sales Jr. for The Leaving), Best Screenplay for Paul Sta. Ana, and Best Original Music Score for Emerzon Texon.
