Floyd Mayweather Jr. apologizes for "racist," profanity-filled video rant against Manny Pacquiao
Undefeated boxer (41-0) Floyd Mayweather Jr. has apologized for his "expletive-filled and sometimes racist (video) rant" against "Fighter of the Decade" Manny Pacquiao, reports Yahoo News. In the video that went viral last week, Mayweather said, "Once I stomp the midget, I’ll make that motherf****r make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice... I’m going to cook that motherf****r with cats and dogs. Have some rice with a little barbecue dog."
"I’m on vacation for about a year. As soon as we come off, we’re going to cook that little yellow chump. We ain’t worried about that. Once I kick the midget’s *ss, I don’t want you all to jump on my d**k. You better get on the bandwagon now," said Mayweather, whose much-awaited bout against Pacquiao has been repeatedly delayed due to disagreements over the pre-fight blood and urine tests.

Days after he personally uploaded the controversial video, Mayweather issued a public apology, according to Yahoo News. "I want to apologize to everybody. They felt it was a racist comment that came from me. I don’t have a racist bone in my body... Some of my guys are Muslims. Some of my guys are Jews. Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Mexicans, whites, it doesn’t matter. There is nothing but love in my heart." He added, "I was just having fun. I didn’t really mean it, nothing in a bad way. So let’s stay on this roller coaster ride and keep riding, baby. It’s all love."

On the other hand, Pacquiao called the video an "uneducated message" and shrugged it off along with Mayweather’s apology, according to a report by sportswriter Ronnie Nathanielsz and the Associated Press (AP) posted on Inquirer.net. Pacquiao also thanked Mayweather for putting the spotlight on him, and inadvertently helping him promote his November 13 bout against Antonio Margarito, a Mexican boxer, in Texas.
