Pets in the City: The Cutest Dogs in Metro Manila
Who let the dogs out? The SPOT.ph camera captured the city’s cutest canines in pet promenades all over town.
Almost everybody loves dogs. (Though we don’t have statistics to back that up and cat people may hate us for it.) These days, pretty pooches are being paraded all over the city: Metro Manila has turned into pet central, what with the mushrooming of pet grooming establishments, as well as specialty stores selling pet food, apparel, accessories, toys, and whatnot. These days, there are also more pet-friendly places that turn into pet promenades during the early mornings and late afternoons, and especially on weekends.
SPOT.ph pet correspondent Michael Wisniewski had fun dogspotting and photographing some of the cutest canines all over the city. He says it was funny to see some of the same dogs dressed in different outfits on different days. Also, he said, "It’s funny to see a full grown man suddenly stop mid-stride, yanked nearly off his feet, as if the leash he is holding is bolted to the floor. All because his tiny 3 kilo Shih Tzu has decided she’s not walking anymore." As he points out, "Dogs are just so darn cute and adorable. They are great for companionship. They let us focus on something other than ourselves. Plus, it’s fun to show off your dog and socialize outdoors with other dog owners."
