The Winebar on the second floor of Café 1771 in El Pueblo Real in Ortigas is the newest addition to Café 1771’s dining sections. To go up to the Winebar, one has to go through the stylish café Whimsy, which has a French brasserie feel and the more formal dining area resembling a library called The Lounge, which are both on the first floor.
Inspired by the high-end bars in New York’s SoHo, the Winebar is dressed up in faded brick walls and furnished with dark brown and copper accents. It boasts of one of the largest wine selections in Manila with over 400 wines which may be ordered by the glass, carafe or bottle. The Winebar also has Enomatic wine dispensers which allow you to try the featured wines for the month, a 30 ml glass of which can go for as low as P90.
If you’re a wine newbie, Wine Director Cecile Mauricio or resident sommeliers Lourds Tibay and Lawrence DeGuzman will gladly guide you towards note-worthy bottles. Their recommendations always take into account every diner’s wine preference in terms of taste and sweetness, and of course, one’s budget.

The Winebar is open from Monday to Thursday from 6:00pm to 11:00pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
