Toni Gonzaga says she and Mariel Rodriguez not on speaking terms supposedly because Rodriguez badmouthed her, says, "Hindi ko na kaya"
Host-actress Toni Gonzaga said she is not on speaking terms with friend and former Entertainment Live co-host Mariel Rodriguez, reports ABS-CBNNews.com. According to the report, Gonzaga said she confronted Rodriguez after she found out that the latter had allegedly been badmouthing her.
Gonzaga told TV Patrol World that she recently discovered something related to the controversy, which she did not specify. "Hindi ko na kaya. Triny kong intindihin. Pero kasi may hangganan din ang pasensiya ng tao eh (I cannot bear it anymore. I tried to understand but I can only be patient for so long)."
PEP.ph says Gonzaga emphasized that the issue has nothing to do with her cancelled movie with action star Robin Padilla, who is currently dating Rodriguez. "Actually, laking pasalamat ko dahil sa proyektong hindi natuloy, may mga nadiskubre ako na mga bagay-bagay. Ginamit siguro ni Lord na way ’yon para ma-realize ko kung sino ang dapat kong pagkatiwalaan (I discovered some things because of our cancelled movie so I am actually grateful it did not push through. Maybe that was the Lord’s way for me to realize who to trust)."
Hesitant to reveal more details, Gonzaga said she does not want the public to think she is creating a controversy for publicity, according to PEP.ph. She attested to what Wenn Deramas, director of her new show Kokey@Ako, told her: "Mag-ingat ka sa taong hindi mo kilala. Pero siguro sa panahon ngayon, mag-ingat ka sa mga taong kilala mo (You should be wary of strangers. But these days, you should also be wary of the people you know)."
Gonzaga said in the PEP.ph report that she is not waiting for an apology from Rodriguez. "Time will heal the wound." She said she is thankful that reality show Pinoy Big Brother, which she co-hosts with Rodriguez and Bianca Gonzalez, is currently on a break.
