Kris Aquino "asked to leave" Pilipinas, Win na Win, will reportedly be replaced by male hosts
The "Queen of All Media" Kris Aquino Tweeted on September 28 that she was "asked to leave" Pilipinas, Win na Win, the variety show she has been hosting for about two months. She posted on Twitter, "I didn’t resign or quit. I was asked to leave Win to make room for new male hosts. I’m honest and humble enough to not lie about the true situation."
She said she will host Pilipinas, Win na Win until October 1. "It was good work and learning experience for me, but it’s time to go." Aside from some commercials to shoot in the next few weeks, Aquino has the script of the Star Cinema movie Dalaw to look forward to. "The Dalaw script is still going through revisions so I’m going to give myself time to de-stress, decompress and pray. Doing my version of Eat Pray Love; mine is "Exercise, Pray, Heal."
The first episode of Pilipinas, Win na Win
According to The Philippine Star, the new hosts of Pilipinas, Win na Win are "Rico J. Puno, Hajji Alejandro and perhaps their fellow Hitmakers Rey Valera, Nonoy Zuñiga, and Marco Sison (if he could since he and his family are based in L.A.)."
PEP.ph noted that two other hosts of the TV program have been missing from the show: newlyweds Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez. Padilla filed a leave of absence a week after the show premiered to observe Ramadan in India, and Rodriguez followed him on August 17. They tied the knot on August 19 at the Taj Mahal. According to ABS-CBNNews.com, Pilipinas, Win na Win "has been plagued by timeslot changes and low ratings since replacing its top-rating predecessor Wowowee."
