Paseo Uno marks the Oktoberfest revelry with a food and beer fete.
A two-week party which traces its roots to the year 1810, the Oktoberfest opened on September 18 this year in Munich, Germany. In celebration of Munich’s biggest party, Paseo Uno, Mandarin Oriental Manila’s all-day dining buffet restaurant, features a spread of German cuisine specialties and authentic German beers available until October 3.
Feast on roasted pork knuckles with sauerkraut; Leberkaas (meat loaf with creamed spinach); Sauerbraten (Braised beef in sweet and sour sauce); Obatza Bavarian cheese spread on rye bread; Corned beef with bouillon potatoes, and a roasted suckling pig carving prepared by Paseo Uno’s Chef Rene Ottlik, who is also a German national.
Grilled items such as assorted sausages, including Dampfwurst (pork and veal meat, flavored with a mild mace paprika and coriander); Weisswurst (pork and veal meat with mild lemon taste), Bratwurst ( meaty taste with mild lemon and herbs), Grillwurst (with mild nutmeg and parsley), and Schlacterli (smoked pork and beef with cheese), plus German desserts such as Kasesahne torte (Cream cheese cake); Pfaumenkuchen (Plum tart); and Dampfnudeln (German dumplings) with vanilla sauce are also included in the spread. You may also pair your heaping plates with Erdinger beer, offered at P320++ for a 500 ml mug.
The Oktoberfest buffet is available for both lunch and dinner at P1,350++.
Paseo Uno is open daily from 5:30 am till 12 midnight. Lunch buffet is served from 12 noon to 3:00 pm, and dinner buffet is served from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. For reservations and information, call Paseo Uno at 750-8888.
