Star Magic confirms death threats against Gerald Anderson, Bea Alonzo, their families, and ABS-CBN executives
ABS-CBN’s talent arm Star Magic confirmed last week the death threats against their wards Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo, reports ABS-CBNNews.com. On October 12, Anderson emotionally revealed at a press conference that there were threats from some fans of his tandem with Kim Chiu. He said it all started after Alonzo was rumored to have caused him and Chiu to break up, even though the "Kimerald" love team never admitted being a couple in the first place.
Star Magic said "Kimerald" fans have also sent emails threatening Alonzo’s and Anderson’s families as well as Star Magic personnel and ABS-CBN executives. The talent management center has forwarded the emails to the authorities to determine if the sources could be "identified, caught and prosecuted." Their statement reads: "Please stop the threats and respect the personal decisions of our artists."
Chiu and Anderson’s fans have denied sending the emails, according to ABS-CBNNews.com. Some fans interviewed by The Buzz said they have no idea who sent the emails and that they have never threatened celebrities.
