2. GO ON A MOVIE SCARE-ATHON.
Experience Korean horror cinema in Manila at the 2010 Korean Horror Movie Festival from October 27 to 31 and November 2 to 4 at Shang Cineplex Cinema 4, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, EDSA-Mandaluyong. The festival is presented by Shangri-La Plaza in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and The Korea-Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. and features seven horror flicks from Korea. 3. WINE AND DINE A LA FRANÇAISE.
Wine and dine in style at The 5th France Food and Wine Festival: Le Tour De France Gastronomique on October 29, 7:30 p.m. at the Manila Peninsula Hotel, Makati City with chefs Freddy Schmidt and Sebastian Cocquery. The event introduces The Degustation Cocktail and features 12 wine regions, 24 regional dishes, and 12 French Wine Estates. Tickets are at P3,750 each. Have a steamy evening at the 2010 Philippine Pole Dancing Competition on October 30, 8 p.m. at Onstage Greenbelt 1, Paseo de Roxas corner Legaspi St., Ayala Center, Makati City. Get artsy and view Blind Field: Photography and Place curated by Wawi Navarroza with Yason Banal, Ringo Bunoan, Bea Camacho, Jed Escueta, Thomas Kellner, Jet Melencio, Renan Ortiz, Beatrix Pang + Peter Piller + Sushan Chan, Rachel Rillo, Gerardo Tan, Maria Taniguchi, and MM Yu, which runs until November 20 at the Silverlens Gallery, 2320 Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati City. Blind Field refers to a kind of ’double vision’ that happens in cinematic space--the space for suspension of disbelief. In this exhibit the curator extends the location of Blind Fields to photographs.
